We've introduced new features and improvements to enhance your experience with Patch Desktop. This release also includes a few bug fixes to ensure smoother operation.

New Features​

  • Added the ability to create Jamf Pro categories directly in Patch Desktop when creating a policy or uploading a Patch Profile. †
  • Added the DeferralLimitExceptions key as a configurable setting in the Deferral Limits section.

Updates​

  • Settings for apps configured for install/update are now preserved and restored after relaunching the application.
  • Errors encountered while communicating with the Jamf Pro API are now displayed in an alert.
  • Patch Desktop is now distributed as a PKG installer instead of a ZIP file for easier installation.

Bug Fixes​

  • Fixed an issue where the icon for a Jamf Pro policy with Self Service enabled might not match the application.
  • Fixed an issue where a Jamf Pro script created using Patch Desktop did not have its URL correctly logged in the Jamf Logs section.
